FAQs

Do You Accept Insurance?

MMM Chiropractic is an out-of-network chiropractic care office. If you receive out-of-network chiropractic benefits through your insurance, Dr. Potter can provide a “super-bill” for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.

How long will I need chiropractic care?

The average patient requires between 18 and 24 adjustments to accomplish the three stages of care: pain relief, stabilization, and rehabilitation. These treatments typically take place over nine to 14 weeks.

I'm not feeling well, should I reschedule my appointment?

Please use your best judgement if you are feeling sick. Many people feel and heal better after a chiropractic adjustment, which helps the body adapt and improves immune function. If you feel that an adjustment will help you while you are under the weather, contact Dr. Potter to help determine the right course of action.

Is chiropractic treatment safe?

Receiving chiropractic treatment from a trained, licensed professional is safe. Many people feel anxious about treatment due to the cracking noise chiropractic care can create; however, chiropractors know the appropriate methods to keep you safe during the procedure.

Is chiropractic care safe for pregnant women?

Most pregnant women can safely receive chiropractic care. You should find a chiropractor with specialized training to treat pregnant women to ensure positive results and a low risk of adverse effects.

Is chiropractic treatment appropriate for children?

Pediatric chiropractic care shows no evidence of harming young people. The ICPA published a study indicating a small percentage of children may experience discomfort immediately after chiropractic care, but there are no long-term effects.

What does low-force technique mean?

Dr. Potter offers a variety of techniques that he has mastered to best serve you, the patient. If you prefer treatments without the "pop/crack" you typically find at a chiropractor, ask for a low-force adjustment.
Dr. Potter has studied Bio-Geometric Integration, Sacro-Occipital technique, and Logan Basic Technique to allow for a gentler experience when warranted.

Once I see a chiropractor, will I have to keep going forever?

Dr. Potter feels that chiropractic care should only be utilized if it is serving the individual. He believes that his care can help you become a better, healthier, and more vibrant version of yourself. He does not coerce patients into coming in but encourages them to visit when their body needs care. Typically, you’ll like the way you feel and function following a chiropractic adjustment. That being said, come in as often or as seldom as you would like, letting MMM Chiropractic be an asset to you, not an inconvenience.
